Cobra Kai Character’s Potential Return In Karate Kid: Legends Addressed By Star

Posted on: February 5th, 2025 by Peoples Balita No Comments

Cobra Kai star has addressed the possibility of their character returning in Karate Kid: Legends ahead of the Netflix series’ last episodes.

Cobra Kai season 6 part 3 will mark the end of an era for The Karate Kid franchise, as the series following Daniel (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny (William Zabka) training young students at Miyagi-Do comes to a close. However, it will usher in a new age for the franchise with Karate Kid: Legends, which will feature Macchio reprising his role as Daniel, who joins Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) in training a new prodigy, Li (Ben Wang).

Speaking with ScreenRant at the Saturn Awards, Cobra Kai‘s Xolo Maridueña, who portrays Miguel Diaz, explained that Karate Kid: Legends is mostly focused on the events that happen after the Netflix TV show. While he didn’t directly state he wouldn’t be showing up, he did indicate Macchio is the only major thread between both projects that keeps them connected. However, he didn’t rule out the idea that he could make an appearance, even though it’s probably unlikely. Check out what Maridueña had to say below:Maybe if you catch me at the local theater, maybe you’ll get a double showing. But no, I think that whole world is post-Cobra Kai. So, I know that Ralph is kind of our connection to that world, but you’ll just have to go out and see.

Miguel has been an important character in Cobra Kai since the show began, acting as its primary protagonist after he begins training with Johnny. He’s maintained his role as the central figure within the lead cast, especially as he’s grown even better at karate with each season. However, his story will be coming to a close once the Netflix series ends, making way for Li when Karate Kid: Legends arrives in theaters. The actor doesn’t seem to be in the upcoming movie, though, as it’s clear the spotlight is going to be shifting away from him.

Maridueña’s statement indicating Miguel probably won’t show up in the next Karate Kid movie means the upcoming episodes of Cobra Kai will mark the end of his story. While a cameo appearance is possible, nothing has been confirmed for other actors from the series either, making it less likely it’s going to happen. However, Karate Kid: Legends‘ storywill acknowledge the series, with director Jonathan Entwistle previously confirming nods to the show. This could still come in the form of surprise characters, honoring the franchise’s latest history.

There’s a strong chance Karate Kid: Legends doesn’t include characters like Miguel, despite probably having references to the events of Cobra Kai. The actor’s statement, while keeping the door open for his potential appearance, indicates it’s not likely, considering the events are moving on from those of the TV series. Still, with the franchise’s vast number of characters and any possible stories that could arrive in the future, it doesn’t necessarily mean Maridueña’s character is gone forever. Very contented and moving forward na sa nangyari: JAM, still on the process para tuluyang makapagpatawad

Posted on: February 5th, 2025 by Peoples Balita No Comments

“I’m still on the process po,” seryosong sagot ni Jam.

“I’m just a normal person po. So I don’t have anyone to defend me so ayun po.

“And ang hirap din po kasi pagka like parang you’re constantly judged by the people kahit alam mo naman na nasa iyo yung truth, parang ganun.”

“Nandito po tayong lahat, nandito po ako sa harap niyo so very very ano, maganda.”

Posted on: February 5th, 2025 by Peoples Balita No Comments

Posted on: February 5th, 2025 by Peoples Balita No Comments

“We gather at a critical moment when the Indo-Pacific—home to 4.7 billion people, or 60% of the global population, and a driving force of global trade and innovation—is both a region of immense opportunity and unprecedented challenges,” ani Romualdez.

“For the Philippines, the situation in the West Philippine Sea remains a direct and urgent concern. This is not just a matter of territorial integrity—it is a test of the international community’s commitment to upholding international law and ensuring freedom of navigation,” pahayag nito.

“The West Philippine Sea issue underscores the importance of preserving a rules-based international order. For smaller nations like the Philippines, this order serves as a safeguard against the arbitrary use of power and ensures that disputes are resolved peacefully, through dialogue and diplomacy, rather than coercion or intimidation,” aniya.

(Gene Adsuara)
