700 EMPLEYADO NG BI NABIGYAN NA NG 2ND DOSE NA BAKUNA

MAHIGIT 700 na rank and file employees ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang nakatanggap na ng second dose ng Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine nitong nakaraang Linggo.
Ayon kay BI Commissioner Jaime Morente na ang 700 na BI works ay nabakunahan nitong Sabado at Linggo sa tanggapan ng BI sa Intramuros, Manila.
“Now they have gotten their second dose, our frontliners are now more confident of rendering efficient service to the public with less anxiety of getting infected by the virus,” ayon kay Morente.
Dagdag pa ni Morente na sa kabila nang nakumpleto na nila ang kanilang bakuna, pinaalalahanan pa rin sila na sumunod sa minimum health protocol gaya ng pagsusuot ng face mask at face shield habang naka-duty.
“Employees of the BI, being a frontline agency, are one of the most vulnerable to the virus,” ayon kay Morente. “Our personnel assigned at the airports and seaports, as well as those manning our different offices nationwide, are highly exposed as the nature of their jobs demands that they come face to face with hundreds of people, be they international travelers or visa applicants, who avail of our services,” dagdag pa ng BI Chief.
Nabatid na ang mga nakakumpleto ng bakuna ay kabilang sa may 1,300 na empleyado ng BI mga unang nabigyan ng first dose ng Sinovac noong April 24-25 at May 1-2.
Nabatid naman kay BI Covid-19 Task Force Chair and Deputy Commissioner Aldwin Alegre, na ang mga natitirang mga babakunahan ay nakatakdang tumanggap ng kanilang second mode nitong darating na Linggo habang ang 700 hanggang 800 na empleyado na naka-assigned sa airport at BI offices sa Metro Manila ay nakatakda pang bakunahan.
