GOVT SERVICES SA NAVOTAS MAAARING ISARA

Dahil sa patuloy na pagtaas ng mga kaso ng COVID-19, inihayag ni Mayor Toby Tiangco na maaari pansamantalang ipa-shutdown muna ang government services sa lungsod.
Aniya, lima sa 18 barangay halls na kinabibilangan ng San Jose, Bangkulasi, San Rafael Village, North Bay Boulevard North, at North Bay Boulevard South-Proper ang pansamantalang naka-lockdown para disinfection upang mapigilan ang pagkalat ng virus matapos ilan sa kanilang mga empleyado ang nagpositibo sa COVID-10.
“Our barangay official and employees underwent swab test from March 13-19. Among those tested, 142 turned out positive, forcing us to close some barangay halls,” ani Tiangco.
“Because of the lockdowns, services of the barangays have been affected. There were fewer tanods to patrol alleys and streets, or garbage collectors to pick up wastes,” aniya.
“Even our city hall and the out-patient department of the Navotas City Hospital had to close down for two weeks due to COVID cases. If this continues, we will soon face the difficulty of providing basic services to our constituents,” sabi pa niya.
Inulit ni Tiangco ang kanyang panawagan sa publiko na sundin ang mga safety protocol tulad ng wastong pagsusuot ng face mask at face Shield, 1-2 meter social distancing, paghuhugas ng kamay, at pananatili sa bahay hangga’t maaari. (Richard Mesa)
