Impeachment calendar kailangan muna maaprubahan ng Senado bago makapag-komento ang Kamara

INIHAYAG ni Deputy Speaker David Suarez (Quezon) na hihintayin ng Kamara ang Senado sa pormal na pag-akto nito sa panukalang 19-day impeachment calendar bago ito magkomento o magbigay ito ng tugon.

Tinukoy ni Suarez ang panukala ni Senate Majority Leader Francis Tolentino, sa posibilidad na tapusin ang impeachment trial ni Vice President Sara Duterte sa loob ng 19 session days.

Ang panulala ay hindi pa naikalendaryo para sa plenary debate o adopted bilang isang Senate resolution.

“Well, I have not seen the impeachment calendar. I think it’s a mere proposal. Not until may makita tayong concrete from the Senate, I think they will be having their session today (Monday). Siguro saka na lang po kami mag-comment on that,” dagdag ni Suarez.

Sinabi pa ng Kongresista na klinaripika ng ilang senador na hanggang walang formal plenary action sa panukala ay mananatili itong unofficial.

“Kasi tulad nga lang sinabi ng iba mga senador, habang hindi pa to formally nilalagay sa plenary at walang action. So, those are mere pieces of paper only,” anang mambabatas.

Sa isyu nang posibilidad na bawasan o ibaba ang bilang ng Articles of Impeachment laban sa VP, tumanggi namang magkomento rito ang mambabatas.

“Well, I can’t speak on behalf of the prosecutors but we signed the Articles of Impeachment, and we identified seven articles. So again, until such time na may concrete recommendation or action ‘yung Senate once they convene as an impeachment court, saka na lang po makakapag-respond yung House,” pahayag ni Suarez. (Vina de Guzman)
