Mga negosyo na pinayagang mag-operate sa mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng MECQ, inilatag ng DTI

HINDI papayagan ang dine-in option para sa restaurants, barbershops, salons, internet cafes at review centers sa susunod na 15 araw matapos na muling ibalik ang Metro Manila sa modified enhanced community quarantine.

Ito ang binigyang diin ni Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez makaraang isailalim ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte linggo ng gabi, Agosto 2 ang Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal at Bulacan sa ilalim ng MECQ hanggang Aug. 18.

Ito’y matapos na makumpirma ang pagsirit ng COVID-19 cases sa nakalipas na limang araw.

Sa ulat, hiniling ng mga medical frontliners sa pamahalaan na ilagay ang MM sa ECQ para magkaroon ng “breathing space.”

Ang desisyon ay “temporary step back” upang pagbigyan ang panawagan ng mga medical practitioners.

“Under the MECQ, there are still a number of business sectors allowed although most at limited scale, while some of the recently allowed sectors under GCQ such as dine-in restaurants, barbershops, salons, and the recent additions such as gyms, review and testing centers, other personal grooming shops, internet cafes, shall not be allowed temporarily in the next 15 days,” ayon kay Lopez.

Nauna rito, sinabi ng Kalihim na suportado ng Department of Trade and Industry ang localized lockdowns sa halip na ilagay ang buong MM sa ilalim ng ECQ.

“We wish that this move back to MECQ will break the increasing trend of positive COVID cases and will eventually allow us to bring back the much needed livelihood and jobs to many of our countrymen,” aniya pa rin.

Samantala, may ilan namang negosyo ang pinayagang mag- operate ng may 100 capacity sa panahon ng MECQ.

• Gasoline stations
• Essential constructions (isolation faciities, at iba pa)

• Media
• Mining
• Electronic commercce

• Funeral, embalming, security

• Capital markets

Ang mga negosyo naman na pinayagan na may 50 percent capacity sa ilalim ng MECQ ay ang
