No vaccine, no participation! –Vietnam

Kailangan nang mabakunahan ang mga miyembro ng Team Philippines na lalahok sa darating na 31st Southeast Asian Games sa Hanoi, Vietnam sa Nobyembre.
Ito ay matapos mag-isyu ang Vietnam SEA Games Organizing Committee ng ‘no vaccine, no participation” policy sa lahat ng bansang sasabak sa biennial event na nakatakda sa Nobyembre 21 hanggang Disyembre 2.
Ayon kay Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president at Tagaytay City Rep. Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, ang mga Pinoy national athletes na lamang ang hindi pa nababakunahan laban sa coronavirus disease (COVID-19) kumpara sa mga atleta ng ibang SEA Games member countries.
Kaya naman sinulatan na ni Tolentino ang Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) para hilingin na gawin ding prayoridad para sa COVID-19 vaccines ang mga national athletes.
Magpapadala ang POC ng 626 atleta na sasabak sa 39 sports sa 2021 Vietnam SEA Games.
Ipinaalam na ng POC sa mga National Sports Associations (NSAs) kung sinong mga atleta ang kanilang uunahing isama sa vaccination program.
Tiniyak ni POC first vice president Al Panlilio na mababakunahan ang lahat ng miyembro ng delegasyon para sa 2021 Vietnam SEA Games.
