P45M insentibo binigay, inani ng SEAG coaches

SINIMULAN na ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) ang pamimigay ng tseke mula sa inilaang halos P45 milyon cash incentives para sa 182 national coaches matapos masungkit ng Team Philippines ang overall championship sa 30th Southeast Asian Games.

Batay sa ilalim ng probisyon ng Republic Act No. 10699 o mas kilala bilang National Athletes and Coaches Benefits and Incentives Act, ang national coaches na may gold medal ay tatanggang ng P150K; silver medal P75K; habang sa bronze, P30K sa SEA Games level.

“The incentives for the coaches shall be equivalent to fifty percent (50%) of the cash incentives for gold, silver and bronze medalists. In case of more than one (1) coach, the cash incentives shall be divided among themselves,” ayon pa sa batas.

Ang computation ng cash incentives ay base sa pagsusumite ng certification requirements at profile na ibinigay ng mga national sports associations at mismong mga medallist-athlete sa PSC.

“A coach can only receive his/her incentives upon submission of required certifications and documents,” sabi ni PSC-NSA Affairs Office Head Annie Ruiz.

Ang mga national coach ng arnis, athletics, beach handball, billiards, bowling, boxing, cycling, dancesports, gymnastics, jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, modern pentathlon, muay, pencak silat, rowing, sailing, sambo, sepak takraw, soft tennis, soft tennis, softball, squash, taekwondo, tennis, weightlifting, windsurfing at wrestling ang unang batch na mga makakakuha ng insentibo.

Ang sunod na batch ng coaches na nakatakdang makakuha ng pabuya ay ang archery, baseball, canoe, fencing, judo, lawn bowls, obstacle course, swimming, traditional boat race at volleyball.

Kinuha ang pondo para sa insentibo sa National Sports Development Fund (NSDF) na ibinibigay ng Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) alinsunod sa RA 10699.
