PBBM, maaaring bumisita kay Trump sa ‘first half’ ng 2025 – envoy

MAAARING bumisita si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa White House para makapulong si US President Donald Trump sa mga susunod na buwan kasunod ng twin visits ng dalawang top US officials sa Pilipinas.

Sinabi ni Philippine Ambassador Jose Manuel Romualdez na ang pagbisita ni Pangulong Marcos ay maaaring itakda matapos ang pagbisita ni US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth sa Pilipinas sa Marso 28-29 kung saan nakatakda niyang makapulong sina Pangulong Marcos at Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro.

Nauna rito, sinabi ng DND na si Hegseth “will travel to the Philippines to advance security objectives with Philippine leaders and meet with U.S. and Philippine forces.”

Nakatakda ring bumisita sa Pilipinas si US Secretary of State Marco Rubio ngayong buwan ng Abril.

“Most likely after these visits of these 2 officials from the United States, malalaman natin ang exact timing ng President Marcos’ visit to the United States. Sinabi naman sa amin ng White House na definitely we will invite the President to come,” ang sinabi ni Romualdez.

Ani Romualdez, abala pa kasi ngayon Trump sa negosayon para sa bakbakan sa pagitan ng Russia at Ukraine.

“Wala pa siła są Southeast, South Asian countries. Hopefully, [the visit will be] within the first half,” aniya pa rin.

Nauna rito, nagpaabot naman ng pagbati si Pangulong Marcos kay Trump sa muling pag-upo bilang Pangulo ng Estados Unidos, looking forward aniya siya na “working closely” sa bagong US administration.

“Congratulations to POTUS @realdonaldtrump and to the American people on another peaceful transfer of power in their Nation’s nearly 250-year history. I look forward to working closely with you and your Administration,” ang sinabi Pangulong Marcos kay Trump sa X.
