PBBM, pinuri ang PH-FRANCE direct flight initiatives, scholarship programs para sa mga Filipino student

PINURI ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang inisyatiba ng French government na buksan ang direct flight mula Manila patungong  Paris at plano nito na palakasin ang scholarship programs para sa mga Filipino students.

Pinasalamatan ng Pangulo si outgoing French Ambassador to the Philippines HE Michèle Boccoz na ipinabatid sa Pangulo ang plano na buksan ang direct flight at palakasin ang scholarship programs.

Sa kabilang dako,  pinuri rin ng Pangulo si Boccoz para sa lahat ng magagandang bagay na nagawa nito  para palakasin ang relasyon sa pagitan ng dalawang bansa.

“It is something new for our two countries to have these relationships now. I’m sure that there’s something that will grow rapidly within the next two years. Those are the things that I think we can merge. I think we can make a good start,” ang sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos kay Boccoz sa farewell call  sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang, matapos ang isnag taon mula nang ipresenta niya ang kanyang credentials sa Pangulo noong Mayo 30, 2022.

Sinabi pa ni Boccoz, na labis na pinapahalagahan ng  French government ang mapagmahal at  pagiging hospitable  ng mga Filipino.

Nagsilbi itong Ambassador of France to the Philippines simujla Pebrero 10, 2021.

Ipinaalam ni Boccoz sa Pangulo ang mga plano na buksan ang direct flight  mula  Manila at  scholarship programs para sa mga Filipino students na  dapat na palakasin.

Sinabi nito na ang “French government is working closely on promoting their student exchange or scholarship programs to encourage more Filipino students to study in Paris as she believes that the Philippines has many gifted and dynamic students.”

“It is also something that we’re really promoting, to have more students in all areas in Science, in Engineering and Technologies and all of the areas because there’s so many gifted—very, very gifted people. And the young generation is so dynamic in this country and I’m sure there’ll be many, many opportunities to increase the relationship in all those areas, and to go to the next step of our relation,” ani Boccoz.

“There are many things going on and one of them, I understand, we will have in the near future a direct flight from Manila to Paris and that’s also in progress,” ang sinabi ni  Boccoz sa Pangulo.

Kumpiyansa naman si Pangulong Marcos na ipagpapatuloy ni Boccoz ang nasimulan sa Pilipinas.

Sa nasabing farewell call, sinabi ng Pangulo  kaay Boccoz  na siya  ay “warmly welcome” na muling bistahin ang Pilipinas. (Daris Jose)
