SIM card registration nagsimula

HANDA  na ang mga pangunahing telecommunications company para sa pagpapatupad ng subscriber identity module (SIM) Card Re­gistration Act na magsisimula ngayon.

“As relayed to us by the different telcos, they are already ready with their systems come tomorrow and then are ready to accept the registration nationwide starting December 27,” pahayag kahapon ni National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) Deputy Commissioner Jon Paulo Salvahan.

Inamin ng Department of Information and Communications Technology na maaa­ring magkaroon ng mga problema sa unang da­lawang linggo ng SIM registration bagaman at nangako ang mga telecom companies na patuloy nilang pagbubutihin ang kanilang mga proseso.

Ayon kay DITC Undersecretary Anna Mae Lamentillo, magsisilbing test registration ang unang dalawang linggo pero valid pa rin ito kahit pa magkaroon ng kaunting aberya.

Para sa registration concerns, ang mga users ng Smart ay maaa­ring magrehistro sa https://smart.com.ph/simreg; ang users ng Globe Telecom Inc. ay sa https://new.globe.com.ph/simreg, habang ang users ng DITO Telecommunity Corp. ay maaaring magre­histro sa https://dito.ph/registerDITO. (Daris Jose)
