Spider-Man: No Way Home’s First Trailer Spins a Whole New Adventure

SONY Pictures and Marvel Studios have just dropped the first trailer forSpider-Man: No Way Home, the third entry in the two studios’ co-stewardship of the latest cinematic Spider-Man.

Tom Holland’s latest solo outing as Spider-Man has given us a glimpse of what to expect, and it seems like Peter Parker’s not quite so happy to be a very public face of that new age and turns out it’s about to get a whole lot messier.

Filled with drama, reality-warping, and exciting villains, the three-minute clip is sure to get the Marvel fans out there thrilled!

As the trailer reveals, Peter Parker’s life completely changed after his identity was made known to the public, thanks to his encounter with Mysterio and John Jonah Jameson Jr.’s exposé in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Instead of being hailed as a hero, Parker is accused of killing Mysterio and while he seemingly clears his name, it still had drastic effects on the people around him, including MJ, his best friend Ned, and his Aunt May.

Peter then seeks the help of Doctor Strange who, despite Wong’s warning, casts a spell to make people forget that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. This spell opens a hole in the Multiverse and we see the two struggling in a warping reality.

Before the trailer ends, it teased the arrival of Spider-Man’s two biggest enemies– we see the familiar bomb of Green Goblin with his sinister laugh in the background, and Alfred Molina reprising his role as Doctor Octopus.

Spider-Man: No Way Home directed by Jon Watts, stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Stephen Strange, Zendaya as Mary Jane Watson, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, and Marisa Tomei as Peter’s Aunt May. The cast also includes, as seen at the end of the trailer, Alfred Molina as Doctor Otto Octavius, as well as Jamie Foxx as Electro, and (purportedly) a whole host of returning faces from the Sam Raimi and Marc Webb Spider-Man films.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is set for release on December 17, 2021.
