“The time to invest in the Province of Bulacan is now” – Fernando

CITY OF MALOLOS – “With all the major development plans and business opportunities in our province, I can also proudly say that the time to invest in the province of Bulacan is now. Let’s join hands in making Bulacan the center of economic development in our country.”

This was the message of Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando to the Bulakenyo business owners, entrepreneurs and stakeholders who attended the First BCCI Governor’s Ball at the Grand Hyatt Manila, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City last Tuesday.

The Bulacan Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the support of the Provincial Government of Bulacan conducted the ball in an aim to boost the business sector in the province as well as to celebrate its longtime partnership in implementing developmental programs for the Bulakenyos.

Ma. Cristina C. Tuzon, BCCI Chairman of the Board of Trustees, led the presentation of BCCI’s fund-raising projects wherein some of the entrepreneurs who attended pledged their financial support to sustain the projects of the organization in promoting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Bulacan and strengthening public and private partnership in working towards economic development.

Fernando also highlighted the awards that the province has received including Hall of Fame Award for Local Revenue Generation from the Department of Finance – Bureau of Local Government Finance, Most Business-Friendly LGU Award and landed 10th place on Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Summit of the Department of Trade and Industry thus showing that the PGB is exerting all its efforts to create a business-friendly province.

The governor also expressed his willingness to open more doors of collaboration with the organization in the hope of securing a brighter and more progressive future for the province.

Among the attendees at the ball were Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro, “Father of BCCI” and former Governor Roberto ‘Obet’ Pagdanganan; members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, PGB department heads headed by Provincial Administrator Antonia Constantino and Bulakenyo entrepreneurs and business owners.
