‘Full vaccination’ ng COVID-19, kasama na 1st booster shot

SANG-AYON si Health Secretary Francisco Duque III sa panawagan ng health experts na i-redefine ang “full vaccination” sa pamamagitan ng pagsama ng first booster shot.
Sa kasalukuyan, ang naturukan na ng 2 vaccination shots ay itinuturing na “full vaccination” sa bansa, samantalang ang ibang bansa ay redefined na ang kanilang “full vaccination” status sa pamamagitan ng pagsali sa third vaccine jab o first booster shot.
“Yes, I agree with that, but the IATF (Inter Agency Task Force) alam mo naman (as you know), is not just made up of the DOH (Department of Health) , but there are also others—the economic team that frowns upon, does not agree at this,” aniya nang kapanayamin ng ANC sa redefinition kung aangat ang vaccination rate.
Sinabi niya na gusto ng economic team ng gobyerno na pataasin ang mga boosters, ngunit hindi bilang “mandatory.”
Binanggit ni Duque na sa ngayon ay anim na bansa na ang muling tinukoy ang kanilang kahulugan ng “full vaccination” sa pamamagitan ng pagdaragdag ng ikatlong shot.
“But hopefully we are getting more and more evidence in other countries,” aniya.
