OFW Center, layon na ipromote ang kapakanan ng overseas workers’- PDU30

MAKATUTULONG ang paglikha ng Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) Center sa Las Piñas City para i-promote ang karapatan at kapakanan ng ng mga overseas workers.
Dinisenyo kasi ito upang maging one-stop hub para sa mga migrant workers.
Sa isinagawang groundbreaking rites ng OFW Center sa Daang Hari, Las Piñas City, tiniyak ni Pangulong Duterte na gagawin ng pamahalaan ang lahat ng makakaya nito para masiguro ang proteksyon at kapakanan ng mga OFWs.
“The productive collaboration of the government and its partner is the key to achieving concrete results for activities that promote the welfare and the holistic development of our unsung heroes,” ayon kay Pangulong Duterte sabay sabing “In recognition of their service and heroism, this administration has remained steadfast in providing the best service it could give to our OFWs.”
Ang OFW Center ay isang 10-storey building na magsisilbing satellite offices ng mga ahensiya ng gobyerno para sa “documentation and travel needs” at legal assistance para sa OFWs.
Ang center ay proyekto ng Global Filipino Movement Foundation Inc., isang non-stock at non-profit organization na nakikipagtulungan sa Christian churches, organisasyon at indibiduwal upang magbigay ng libreng tulong sa mga overseas workers.
Pinasalamatan naman ni Pangulong Duterte ang Global Filipino Movement Foundation para sa inisyatiba nito na suportahan ang mga OFWs sa pamamagitan ng pagtatayo ng one-stop shop.
“[OFWs] will always play a crucial part in our country’s development, especially during times of recovery after tumultuous events such as the ongoing Covid-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) pandemic,” ayon sa Punong Ehekutibo sabay sabing “I am pleased to join my fellow workers in government, members of the private sector, and of course, our overseas Filipinos and their families as we hold the groundbreaking ceremony of the OFW Center, a hub dedicated to serving our OFWs.”
