“That’s a very good news for us. That’s actually a little higher than our estimates of 6.5 to 7.5 (%) for the last quarter… so that makes sense though because the last piece of news we heard was the lowering of the unemployment rate and so that means there’s more economic activity and that’s reflected now in the growth,” ayon kay Pangulong Marcos sa isang video message, Huwebes ng gabi.

“The economy as measured by gross domestic product (GDP) — the total value of goods and services produced in a specific period — grew by 7.6% during the July to September period, which is faster than the upwardly adjusted 7.5% GDP growth in the second quarter of 2022,” ayon sa ulat.

“And even in agriculture, I’m very happy to say that there is a specific measure of the growth of the agriculture sector by 2.2% and so something… the economy is moving, what we have to deal with, again the shocks that are coming from abroad but within the Philippines, within our economy, I think we have made the right policy decisions,” lahad ni Pangulong Marcos.

“The Philippine government has been practicing a mix of interventions to alleviate the problems in the economy,” ayon sa Pangulo.

“With those figures, with the lowering of the unemployment rate, very high growth rate, that we at least are headed in the right direction…” wika ni Pangulong  Marcos.

“Once again, we are always very conscious of the inflation rate because this reflects the cost of living of ordinary people. That is still of great concern to us.  But, we have created the jobs, we have started the growth and that will pull us out the debt situation that we are in,”  aniya pa rin.  (Daris Jose)
