Bill vs no exam sa mga estudyante na‘di bayad tuition, pasado na sa Kamara

PASADO na sa ikatlo at huling pagbasa ang panukalang nagbabawal sa mga paaralan na payagan ang mga estudyante sa pampubliko at pribadong Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) na kumuha ng pagsusulit kahit hindi pa bayad ang tuition fees o matrikula.
Sa botong 237 pabor ay ganap na napagtibay ang House Bill (HB) 6483 o ang “An Act Allowing College Students with Unpaid Tuition and Other School Fees to Take the Periodic and Final Examinations on Good Cause and Justifiable Grounds.”
Ipinunto sa panukala na dapat i-accomodate o intindihin ang kalagayan ng mga mag-aaral na posibleng nahaharap sa emergencies at iba pang sitwasyon kaya hindi nakabayad ng matrikula gayundin ng iba pang mga school fees.
Dahil dito, walang sinuman sa mga estudyante sa pampubliko at pribadong HEIs ang pagbabawalan na makakuha ng periodical o final examinations dahil lamang sa hindi bayad na tuition at iba pang bayarin.
Alinsunod sa HB 6483, bibigyan naman ng karapatan ang eskuwelahan na huwag ibigay ang clearance o transfer credential ng estudyante hanggang sa mabayaran ng mga ito ang kanilang pagkakautang. (Ara Romero)
