‘Oppenheimer’, big winner sa 96th Academy Awards: EMMA STONE at CILLIAN MURPHY, waging Best Actress at Best Actor

ANG epic biographical thriller na Oppenheimer ang big winner sa 96th Academy Awards that aired lived on ABC with comedian Jimmy Kimmel as host for the fourth time.
Oppenheimer won seven awards, including best picture, best director, best supporting actor for Robert Downey, Jr. and best actor for Cillian Murphy as the first Irish-born actor to win an Oscar.
Following with four awards is Poor Things with its lead star, Emma Stone, winning best actress. Ito ang second Oscar ni Emma after winning for LaLa Land in 2017.
Ang pinaka-powerful acceptance speech ng gabi ay galing kay Mstyslav Chernov, the director behind 20 Days in Mariupol, na nanalong best documentary feature. The film is about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
“I wish to be able to exchange this for Russia never attacking Ukraine, never invading our cities. I wish to be able to exchange this for Russian not killing 10,000 of my fellow Ukrainians. I cannot change history. I cannot change the past. But we all together, you – some of the most talented people in the world – can make sure the history record is set straight and the truth will prevail and the people of Mariupol and those who have lost their lives will never be forgotten. Because cinema forms memories and memories form history.”
Ang well-applauded production number ng gabi ay ang “Kenergetic” performance ni Ryan Gosling. Suot ng aktor ay pink sparkly suit and sunglasses, received a standing ovation after performing “I’m Just Ken” from the movie Barbie.
