AMERIKANO, INARESTO SA MONEY LAUNDERING AT THEFT SA TAGUIG

NAARESTO ng mga operatiba ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang isang American national na wanted ng awtoridad ng US federal dahil sa money laundering at theft.
Kinilala ni Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente ang wanted na si Renato Rivera Cuyco Jr., 48, na inaresto ng mga ahente ng BI’s fugitive search unit sa isang condominium unit sa Bonifacio Global City sa Taguig.
Sinabi ni Morente na si Cuyco ay pababalikin sa US batay sa summary deportation na naisyu sa kanya ng bureau’s board of commissioners noong nakaraang taon.
“He was also already placed in our immigration blacklist, thus he is banned from re-entering the country for being undesirable alien,” ayon sa BI Chief.
Sinabi ni BI-FSU acting chief Rendel Ryan Sy, inisyu ang warrant of arrest laban kay Cuyco noong pang May 1, 2018 ng US district court sa New Jersey.
Si Cuyco ay kinasuhan sa nasabing korte dahil sa money laundering at theft by deception.
Nag-ugat ang kanyang kaso dahil sa pagkakasangkot nito sa illegal acquisition at pagbebenta ng 58 luxury vehicles sa isang third-party export companies at isang kahina-hinalang bumilikung saan kumita ito ng mahigit US$3 million.
Bukod dito, si Cuyco ay isa nang undocumented alien matapos na i-revoked ng US State Department ang kanyang passport. (GENE ADSUARA)
