COVID-19 emergency loan program, muling binuksan ng GSIS sa mga members

BINUKSAN ngayong araw ng Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) ang COVID-19 Emergency Loan program para sa mga miyembro at mga pensioners.
Ayon sa GSIS ang loan program ay hanggang Dec. 27 ng taong kasalukuyan.
Ang muling pagbubukas ng GSIS ng pautang ay matapos na pirmahan ng Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang Proclamation No. 1021 na nag-aatas para sa extension ng state of calamity sa buong bansa dahil sa pandemic.
Iniulat ni GSIS president at General Manager Rolando Ledesma-Macasaet na naglaan sila ng P43 billion sa naturang programa.
Ang mga kuwalipikadong borrowersa kahit meron pang kasalukuyang emergency loan ay puwedeng makautang ng hanggang P40,000 para bayaran din ang kanilang naunang pagkakautang sa GSIS.
Doon naman sa walang pagkakautang kuwalipikado silang mag-loan ng P20,000.
“Gusto naming mabigyan ng ginhawa ang ating active members at old-age at disability pensioners na apektado nitong pandemya at hindi pa nakikinabang sa pribilehiyong ito. To date, there are still 700,000 of our 1.3 million qualified members and pensioners who have yet to file their emergency loan application. Hopefully, the three-month application period will give them ample time to prepare the requirements and submit them to us,” ani Macasaet. “We are mobilizing our resources to help members and pensioners who need financial assistance. Of the Php43.01 billion that we have set aside for this loan facility, we have already released Php18 billion to nearly 600,000 of them.”
