DOTr target na i-upgrade ang MRT-3 matapos ang surprise inspection dito

MAY inilatag na rekomendasyon si Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista hinggil sa pagpapahusay ng serbisyo ng Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) matapos ang surprise inspection sa rail line noong Lunes.
Sa isang Facebook post, sinabi ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) na nagbalatkayo o nagpanggap si Bautista bilang isang ordinaryong mananakay na walang ” usual entourage and interacted with passengers” mula GMA Kamuning Station hanggang Taft Avenue Station.
Maliban sa pag-inspeksyon sa MRT-3, personal na nakita ni Bautista kung paano mag-commute gamit ang mass transport system.
Sa kabila ng naging desisyon ng MRT-3 na tapusin na ang free ride program, itutuloy pa rin ng mga pasahero o mananakay ang pagsakay ng mga ito sa MRT-3, iyon ay sa kabila ng napakahirap at napakahabang pila na salungat sa “fast and comfortable ride.”
Ibinahagi naman ni Bautista ang kanyang naging karanasan sa idinaos na unang Cabinet meeting ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa Malakanyang, araw ng Martes at isinama ang kanyang suhestiyon para mapahusay ito.
“Copies of Bautista’s observations and recommendations were given to Undersecretary for Rails Cesar Chavez and Ofelia Astrera, OIC-General Manager of MRT-3,” pahayag nito.
Kabilang sa mga naobserbahan ni Bautista ay “clean restrooms with ample water supply; need to add platform waiting seats for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and pregnant women; accessibility of consumer welfare desks to all passengers, and additional X-ray machines.”
Sinabi pa rin nito ang pangangailangan para sa full ticket counter complement, availability ng emergency medical technicians sa lahat ng istasyon, promosyon ng stored value tickets sa halip na single journey tickets upang mabawasan ang linya at enhancements sa onboard announcements. (Daris Jose)
