NAARESTO na si dating Negros Oriental Representative Arnolfo “Arnie” Teves Jr.
Ayon sa Department of Justice (DOJ) inaresto siya ng mga otoridad ng Timor-Leste.
Nahaharap si Teves ng kasong murder, frustrated murder at attempted murder dahil sa sya ang itinuturong mastermind sa pagpatay kay Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo noong Marso 4, 2023.
Matapos kasi ang insidente ay nagtago si Teves sa Timor-Leste kung saan sinubukan niyang kumuha ng asylum dito subalit tinanggihan siya.
Bukod sa pamamaril kay Degamo ay kinasuhan din ito sa pagpatay sa tatlong indibidwal sa Negros Oriental noong 2019.
Noong Agosto 2023 ay idineklara siya kasama ang 11 iba pa bilang terorista dahil sa kinasangkutang patayan at harassments sa Negros Oriental.
Noong Agosto ay sinibak siya ng House of Representatives dahil sa disorderly conduct at ang mahabang pagliban kahit na expired na ang kaniyang travel authority.
Nitong Pebrero ay inilagay si Teves sa red notice list ng International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL).
Ang red notice ay isang kahilingan sa mga alagad ng batas sa buong mundo para matukoy ang kinaroroonan ng tao na may nakabinbin na extradition para ito ay sumuko at arestuhin. (Daris Jose)
