MSMEs, makakakuha ng P1.2-B fund assistance sa ilalim ng 2023 budget

INANUNSYO ng  Department of Budget and Management (DBM) na may kabuuang P1.2 bilyong piso ang magpopondo sa iba’t ibang programa ng gobyerno para palakasin ang  micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) sa ilalim ng national budget ngayong taon.

Sinabi ng DBM na ang mga programang ito ay bahagi ng  MSME Development Plan at ibang inisyatiba ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) para i-promote ang paglago ng MSMEs; pagtatayo ng Negosyo Centers; One Town One Product (OTOP) Next Gen; at Shared Service Facilities (SSF).

“MSMEs serve as the building blocks of the economy. Dahil dito, sinisikap po ng pamahalaan na palakasin ang MSMEs at alalayan sila sa pagbangon, especially from the challenges that hindered their growth, such as the pandemic,” ayon kay  DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman.

“Following the directive of President Marcos Jr., sisiguruhin po natin na patuloy na popondohan ang mga programang tutulong at magpapalakas sa mga MSME,” dgdag na wika nito.

Sa ilalim ng budget para ngayong taon, may P583 milyon ang inilaan para sa implementasyon MSME Development Plan at kahalintulad na mga programa ng pamahalaan.

May P487 milyong piso naman ang gagamitin para makatulong sa pagtatatag ng Negosyo Centers o MSME-suportahan ang tanggapan ng pamahalaan na nago-operate na i-promote na pagaanin ang transaksyon at magkaroon ng access sa serbisyo para sa  MSMEs.

Ang Negosyo Centers ay itinatag  sa lahat  ng lalawigan, lungsod at munisipalidad.

Ang OTOP Next Gen, isang programa na tumutulong sa  MSMEs sa product development initiatives, training at referral, para i-level up ang mga produkto pagdating sa disenyo, kalidad at dami  ay makatatanggap ng  P97 milyon.

“It enables localities and communities to determine, develop, support and promote products or services that are rooted in their respective local cultures, community resources, creativity, connection and competitive advantages,” ayon sa DBM.

Samantala, makakakuha naman ang  SSF ng P80 milyon kung saan P70 milyon ay gagamitin para pondohan ang Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE) habang ang P10 milyon ay gagamitin para pondohan ang  capital outlays.

“The SSF gives MSMEs access to sophisticated machines and equipment towards improving the quality of their products, increase their production capacity, accelerate their competitiveness and expand their businesses,” ayon sa ulat.

“MSMEs comprise 99.5 percent of business establishments in the Philippines, according to the Department of Trade and Industry,” ayon pa rin sa ulat. (Daris Jose)
