Nagpasayaw, nagpaiyak at nagpabirit sa successful concert… ICE, walang humpay ang pasasalamat kay LIZA at mabuti na nakinig siya

ISANG araw pagkatapos ng very successful “Becoming Ice: The 35th Anniversary Concert ng OPM icon na si Ice Seguerra, nag-post siya sa Facebook at Instagram ng kanyang walang humpay na pasasalamat sa asawa na si Liza Diño-Seguerra.

Hindi nga siguro magiging matagumpay ang first major concert in ten years ni Ice na ginanap last Saturday, October 15 sa The Theater at Solaire, kung wala si Liza at mga ginawa nito para sa kanya.

Napakaganda ng concept at repertoire ni Ice, plus dumating talaga ang lahat ng guests niya, na kahit si Gary V na may US tour at nag-effort talaga mag-send ng video message at nakipaghatawan kay Ice.

Ilang beses din kaming na-touch at naiyak sa mga kinanta niya, na for sure, marami talagang naka-relate and above all, napakahusay talaga ni Ice mag-perform, iba pa rin ang brilyo ng boses niya. Kaya sulit na sulit talaga ang kanyang one-night sold-out concert.

Pagkukuwento niya, “Early this year, Liza suggested that I should do a concert to celebrate my 35 years in the industry. Medyo hesitant ako kasi alam kong ibang klaseng stress ang kailangan pagdaanan para sa isang solo major concert.

“Buti na lang, nakinig ako.”

Pagpapatuloy niya, “Last night’s concert wouldn’t be the way it was if it weren’t for her. Becoming Ice was her brainchild. From the title, to how it should be presented (sabi niya, we should do a hybrid of a documentary/live show), yung flow from childhood to now and how it seamlessly transitioned from one chapter to the next.

“Siya rin ang nagpasayaw sa akin, nagpaiyak at nagpabirit sa akin. She wanted people to see what I can do, things I don’t normally perform during gigs. In short, sobrang chinallenge niya ako at gusto niya akong hingalin ng todo-todo. Hahaha!

“From the videos which she meticulously visualized and made sure na every edit that you see is what it was supposed to be, to getting sponsors, to talking to different talent coordinators and press people to help us promote the show, pati social media promotions, fixing all the tickets down to the last minute, and every single thing in between na normally iba ibang tao ang gumawa, ginawa niyang lahat yun.”

Dagdag pa ng singer/composer, “On top of all that, nagawa pa niyang magluto ng hipon tsaka adobo para sa aming lahat, bago humarap sa mga tao sa box office. Hanggang ngayon, hindi ko pa rin alam kung paano niya nagagawa yung mga yun.

“Over all concept and creative direction, producer, taga benta ng tickets, runner, cashier…all rolled into one.”

“We only had less than 2 months to prepare for it and there was even a time na nagdalawang isip na ako if kaya ba talaga namin to. But with someone like her on top of things, nothing is impossible,” pagbibida pa ni Direk Ice kay Liza.

Kaya naman, labis-labis talaga ang niya sa asawa na palaging nasa tabi niya. “Thank you, love, for seeing something in me and for believing that I can do so much more. Being with you not only helped me elevate my artistry but you also made me understand the importance of collaboration and respecting other people’s work.

“Thank you for also putting structure to my chaos. For understanding the thoughts I cannot articulate and hearing the words I cannot even say. Thank you for being my inspiration, my biggest critic, and my number 1 fan. I cannot thank you enough for doing all these and more.

“I love you so much, mahal ko, and congratulations to us!!! #BecomingIce!”

At sa kanyang IG post, pinusuan ito ng mga celebrity friends at umapaw nga ang pagbati sa kanilang mag-asawa sa sold-out concert na dapat talagang magkaroon ng repeat.

Ilang nga sa bumati at nag-comment sina Zsazsa Padilla, Princess Velasco, Amy Perez, Chito Miranda, Ogie Alcasid, Martin Nievera, Christine B. Babao, Arnel Pineda at marami pang iba.
