BINATI ni Outgoing Education Secretary Leonor Briones si Vice President-elect Sara Duterte, sa inagurasyon nito ngayong araw ng Linggo, Hunyo 19.
Si Duterte ang mamumuno sa Department of Education (DepEd) sa ilalim ng administrasyong Marcos.
“Together with the entire Department of Education (DepEd) family, I congratulate you on your inauguration on Sunday, June 19, 2022, as the new Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines,” ayon kay Briones sa kanyang kalatas.
Nakatakdang mag- oath of office si Duterte, ngayong araw sa San Pedro Square sa Davao City.
Hinihintay naman ng Kalihim ang gagawin niyang pag-turn over ng liderato ng DepEd kay Duterte, itinalaga ni President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na maging hepe ng nasabing departamento.
“I look forward to turning over to you the leadership of DepEd. That the department will be concurrently led by no less that the Vice President speaks to the highest priority that education will be given under the incoming administration,” ayon kay Briones.
“During my term, with utmost support by the President, we have laid the foundations for DepEd to address the challenge of decisively elevating the quality of Philippine basic education. I have no doubt that under your leadership, the country will see the fruition of basic education’s pivot to quality, enhanced by your new insights and innovations,” dagdag na pahayag nito.
Nauna rito, sinabi ni Briones na “looking forward” siya para sa smooth transition ng bagong liderato, nagpapahiwatig na si Duterte ay “has a wide understanding of the problems of the education sector, especially in the grassroots level.”
Samantala, sa 44th birthday ni Duterte noong nakaraang buwan, hiniling ni Duterte sa publiko na mahalin ang DepEd.
Sinabi pa rin niya na gagawin niya ang lahat para makapag-produce ng skilled learners na mayroong mindset na mapagtanto ang kanilang full potential bilang indibidwal. (BISHOP JESUS “JEMBA” M. BASCO)
