“Paeng” hits over 2,000 Bulakenyos

CITY OF MALOLOS — A total of 2,214 individuals or 643 Bulakenyo families were affected by Severe Tropical Storm “Paeng”, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) reported yesterday.

 

 

The PDRRMC said that Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office reported that affected individuals from nine municipalities including the towns of Bulakan, Pulilan, Hagonoy, Paombong, Calumpit, Bocaue and Guiguinto and the Cities of Meycauayan and Malolos were housed in 48 locations that served as evacuation centers.

 

 

Acting Governor and PDRRMC Chairman Alexis C. Castro led the relief operations on October 30 and 31 to affected Bulakenyo families with a total of 960 relief goods from the PGB and some donors.

 

 

Further, as of October 31, a total of P115,306,617.66 partial/ unofficial damage on agriculture and fisheries were also reported after Severe Tropical Storm Paeng’s wreaking havoc in the province.

 

 

Reports also stated a partially damaged creek bank protection and totally damaged street lights and open canal at the City of San Jose Del Monte.

 

 

As of 8 am on the same day, all roads are already passable to any kinds of vehicle while there are 45 barangays/areas that were still flooded. (BISHOP JEMBA BASCO)
