PBBM, itinalaga si Police Maj. Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil bilang pang-30 PNP Chief

PINANGALANAN ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. si Police Major General Rommel Francisco Marbil bilang pang-30 Hepe ng Philippine National Police (PNP).
Pinalitan ni Marbil si Police General Benjamin Acorda Jr. na nagtapos ang termino dahil sa kanyang pagreretiro kahapon, araw ng linggo, Marso 31, 2024.
“Police Major General Rommel Francisco Marbil is designated as the chief, Philippine National Police effective April 1, 2024 by the direction of President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr.,” ang nakasaad sa appointment paper ni Marbil.
Si Marbil ay miyembro ng Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class 1991.
Ang pagkakatalaga kay Marbil ay inanunsyo sa isinagawang change of command at retirement honors para kay Acorda sa Camp BGen Rafael T. Crame sa Quezon City.
Bago pa ang kanyang appointment bilang PNP Chief, si Marbil ay naging pinuno ng Directorate for Comptrollership at nagsilbi bilang Regional Director of the Police Regional Office 8 (PRO-8), at Director of the Highway Patrol Group (HPG), bukod sa iba pa. (Daris Jose)
