PBBM, nagpalabas ng AO nagbibigay mandato sa episyenteng energy utilization sa mga tanggapan sa gobyerno

NAGPALABAS si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ng administrative order (AO) na direktang inaatasan ang mga ahensiya ng pamahalaan na pabilisin ang implementasyon ng Government Energy Management Program (GEMP) para masiguro ang “efficient and judicious utilization” ng enerhiya.
Ang Administrative Order No. 15 ayon sa Presidential Communications Office (PCO) ay ipinalabas ng Malakanyang araw ng Martes, Enero 16, 2024.
“All agencies and instrumentalities of the National Government, including government-owned or -controlled corporations are hereby directed, and all LGUs are hereby encouraged, to undertake efforts to ensure efficient and judicious utilization of energy,” ang nakasaad sa AO, tinintahan ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.
“For this purpose, all concerned government agencies shall accelerate the implementation of GEMP and relevant IAEECC Resolutions,” tinutukoy ang Inter-Agency Energy and Efficiency Conservation Committee kung saan ang Department of Energy (DoE) ang tumatayong chairman.
Ang GEMP ay isang government-wide program na naglalayong bawasan ang monthly consumption ng gobyerno sa elektrisidad at petroleum products sa pamamagitan ng episyenteng paggamit at pagtitipid sa enerhiya at langis.
“It will be carried out by conducting energy audits from Certified Energy Auditors, and cooperating with random energy spot-checks, submitting an inventory of existing energy consuming equipment, ensuring compliance with the DOE Guidelines on Energy Conserving Design of Buildings, and the Philippine Green Building Code for new building construction,” ayon sa AO.
Bahagi rin ng Inisyatiba ang pag-adopt sa low-cost Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EEC) measures kasama ang GEMP at i-institutionalize ang EEC sa kani-kanilang tanggapan.
“Consistent with IAEECC Resolution No. 5 (s. 2022) or the GEMP Guidelines, government agencies were directed to establish a mechanism for monitoring the energy consumption in their respective offices, and adhere to the reportorial requirements of the DOE,” ayon sa ulat.
Samantala, sa pakikipagtulungan sa PCO, ang DOE ay dapat na mag-develop ng epektibong paraan para maipabatid ang EEC measures sa lahat ng tanggapan ng gobyerno at sa publiko. (Daris Jose)
