Pinas, kailangan ng mga bagong solusyon, mga alyansa para tugunan ang tensyon sa South China Sea -PBBM

INAMIN ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na tumaas ang tensyon sa South China Sea.

Dahil dito, ginagawa at tinatrabaho na ng Pilipinas ang lahat ng makakaya nito para makahanap ng solusyon o kasagutan sa usaping ito.

Binigyang diin ni Pangulong Marcos ang pangangailangan ng  bansa na “mga bagong solusyon” sa gitna ng umiigting na tensyon sa pinagtatalunang katubigan kontra China.

“I’m afraid we’ll have to be able to say that tensions have increased rather than diminished for the past months or the past years and that’s why we have to – but we continue to counsel peace and continue communication between the different countries—everyone that is involved,” ayon kay Pangulong Marcos sa isang panayam.

“And this has become – I sometime say, and I think it still applies, the South China Sea situation is the most complex geopolitical challenge that the world faces,” dagdag na pahayag nito.

Sa kabila nang  tumataas na maritime tensions, muling inulit ng Pangulo na hindi kailanman manggagaling sa Pilipinas ang anumang bagong ‘conflict’ sa rehiyon.

Sa patuloy aniya na girian sa pagitan ng Russia-Ukraine, inilarawan niya ito bilang trahedya, walang  bansa sa buong mundo ang nagnanais na magsimula ng bagong labanan lalo na sa Asya.

“I cannot say that we have found the answer yet. We are still trying to formulate that answer as we speak. And things are moving very quickly in many parts of the China Sea and so there are changes in terms of approaches,” aniya pa rin.

Pinagtibay naman ng Pangulo na nananatiling committed ang Pilipinas na panatilihin ang kapayapaan at pagsunod sa  rules-based order sa gitna ng tumataas na geopolitical tension sa Asya.

Tinuran pa rin niya na itutuloy naman ng Pilipinas ang pagkakaroon ng malakas na alyansa sa “like-minded allies”  dahil na rin sa ipinapakitang tunay na hamon ng China sa mga “neighbors” nito sa Asya.

Hangad din ng Punong Ehekutibo na itaas ang pagtutulungan sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at  Japan, sabay sabing “it is a very good example of evolution.”

Ang Pilipinas ang naging kauna-unahang recipient ng  Japanese Official Security Assistance (OSA).

This alliance that we have come together with Japan is again, is to show, to help us rather, work together more closely. Because in the military since there is a tactical operation that we really have to train with one another,” ayon kay  Pangulong  Marcos.

“The so-called interoperability between the different forces and it doesn’t… it is not sufficient actually with just Japan and the Philippines to enter into this agreement. We really must get more of these kind of arrangements in place,” aniya pa rin.

“This is about the trilateral agreement between the United States, Japan, and the Philippines,” aniya pa rin sabay sabing mayroon dapat na mas maraming kasunduan  pagdating sa multilateral at bilateral levels.

“I think that really is the pattern that we are seeing to emerge and that is how we are evolving. And that is very good example of evolution,” ayon sa Punong Ehekutibo. (Daris Jose)
