Reynolds goes back to the past to meet his father, Ruffalo, in the upcoming film ‘The Adam Project’

TWO of the Marvel movies’ biggest stars, Ryan Reynolds and Mark Ruffalo, are teaming up for the upcoming film The Adam Project.

Deadpool actor and MCU’s Hulk shared on their Instagram accounts some photos from the sci-fi film, where Reynolds goes back in time to seek the help of his 13-year-old self (Walker Scobell).

Reynolds was the first person to share new images from The Adam Project. The photos shared to Reynolds’ timeline feature he and Ruffalo in character while filming a scene in Vancouver. In the scene, it looks like their car has been busted up, leading to a tense moment between a father and his adult, time-traveling son.

He shared the photos with the caption “I have a friend from work too. But no matter how angry I make him, he stays the same size,” referencing Thor’s iconic line in Thor: Ragnarok.

Meanwhile, Ruffalo also shared a photo from this same scene to his Twitter on Saturday evening. However, the image Ruffalo shared is taken from a different angle.

He jokingly states in the caption: “Passing on the birds and the bees knowledge to my son in #TheAdamProject, @VancityReynolds. He was clearly having a little difficulty following because I was using the elephants and the chickens to try and add some flare to the story of love.”

The film will follow the young Adam (assumed to be the name of Reynold’s character) who meets his older self from the future. The two must then join forces to find their father, played by Ruffalo, in a secret mission where the future of humanity is at stake.

Directed by Shawn Levy (Free GuyNight at The Museum), the film will also star Zoe Saldana (Guardians of the Galaxy), Jennifer Garner (Peppermint), and Walker Scobell.

The film is expected for release on Netflix, with the release date yet to be revealed. (ROHN ROMULO)
