Sa prestigious 26th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival: THERESE, proud na nag-iisang Asian at pinakabatang jury member

NINANAMNAM ng award-winning Kapuso actress na si Therese Malvar ang pagkakasama sa kanya bilang jury member sa prestigious 26th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival na ginanap sa bansang Estonia.

Sa First Feature Competition category ng naturang festival umupo bilang jury si Therese.

Sa kanyang pinost sa Instagram, nag-share siya ng kanyang kakaibang experience sa naturang festival kasama ang ilang kasama niya sa jury. Siya lang daw ang nag-iisang Asian at pinakabatang jury member.

Pinost din niya ang ilang pinasyalan niyang lugar sa Estonia.

“My first 2 days so far… It’s amazing how diverse we all are yet we come as one whenever we talk about cinema. It has already become a learning experience for me right now as I talk amongst directors and producers of different countries.

“We would constantly share about the similarities and differences we have within the film industry haha. (They were shocked about our 14-16 hours of work yes HAHAH). I was worried I would feel so intimidated and alienated by my co-juries since I am young and also the only asian juror in the First Feature competition.

“But I have felt immediately welcomed from the very first day we all met! I can’t talk about the first feature films we’ve watched yet, but so far so good! This still feels surreal right now, but I am taking in every moment!

“p.s nakakakilig talaga lagi kapag nagbabanggit sila ng Filipino films and directors. It’s wonderful how many of our films are being recognized in the international scene. So grateful. Yun k thanks bye,” caption pa ni Therese.

Kasalukuyang napapanood si Therese sa GMA Afternoon Prime series na Unica Hija at mapapanood siya sa pelikulang Broken Blossoms kasama si Jeric Gonzales.

ISA sa sikreto ng magandang pagsasama ng mag-asawang Gladys Reyes at Christopher Roxas ay may respeto at tiwala sila sa privacy ng isa’t isa.

“Ang lagi kong sinasabi, prayers, patience, partnership. Kumbaga sa negosyo, siyempre kailangan muna mag-invest kayo. Hindi lang emotions pero lahat, siyempre ‘yung wisdom doon sa pagsasama niyo.

“And then eventually aanihin ninyo ‘yung tubo doon sa negosyo na ‘yon, sa relationship na ‘yon Respect each other’s privacy, isa rin ‘yan. Kasi trust ‘yun eh,” sey ni Gladys sa isa sa sikreto ng kanilang 29 years na pagsasama ni Christopher.

Never daw na-tempt si Gladys na tingnan ang mga messages at photos sa cell phone ng kanyang mister.

“Katulad ngayon. Until now, hindi kami ‘yung ‘O patingin ng cellphone mo,’ hindi. Kasi iniisip ko, kung halimbawang may ginagawa naman ‘yung isa, siya naman ang magdadala no’n eh,” diin ni Gladys.

Sey naman ni Christopher: “Sa tama at sa totoo ka lang. Doon pa lang alam mo na ‘yung boundaries mo.”

Magkasundo rin sa kanilang negosyo ang dalawa kaya successful ang mga pinapasok nilang business tulad ng kanilang Sommereux Catering at That’s EntertainMeat.

Si Christopher ang chef na taga-mando sa supplies ng business nila habang si Gladys naman ang nakatoka sa marketing at promotion ng business nila.

“Nakikinig lang ako sa kanya hanggang eventually nagulat ako, ie-execute na. With the right partners, importante kasi na may tama kang tao na kasama,” sey pa ni Gladys.

SI Beyonce ang nakakuha ng pinakamaraming nominasyon sa 2023 Grammy Awards na gaganapin sa February 5, 2023 sa Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Nakakuha ng siyam na nominations si Beyonce para sa kanyang album na Renaissance.

Sumunod naman ay si Kendrick Lamar with 8 nominations para sa album niya na Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers. Sina Adele at Brandi Carlile naman ay parehong nakakuha ng 7 nominations each para sa albums nila na 30 at In These Silent Days.

Ang nag-announce ng nominees kasama ni Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. ay sina Jimmie Allen, Nate Burleson, Gayle King, Luis Fonsi, Ledisi, John Legend, Machine Gun Kelly, Smokey Robinson, Olivia Rodrigo, Dan + Shay and Cyndi Lauper.

For Best Pop Vocal Perfomance, maglalaban sila Adele (Easy on Me), Bad Bunny ( Moscow Rule), Doja Cat (Woman), Steve Lacy (Bad Habit), Lizzo (About Damn Time) and Harry Styles (As It Was).
