‘Smile 2’ is set to deliver even more intense horror to the big screen—in its full uncut g(l)ory.

GET ready for another round of spine-chilling thrills as Smile 2 hits Philippine cinemas uncut on October 16, 2024.

After the massive success of the first Smile movie in 2022, which raked in $217 million at the global box office, the highly anticipated sequel is back with more terrifying moments, a larger scale, and familiar faces.

With an R-18 rating, Smile 2 is set to deliver even more intense horror to the big screen—in its full uncut g(l)ory.

If you thought the original Smile was unsettling, get ready for an even darker and more twisted sequel. Directed by Parker Finn, who also helmed the first film, Smile 2 continues the story of the Smile Entity—a curse that preys on its victims, forcing them to pass on their doom with an eerie, unshakable grin.

The sequel centers on Skye Riley, a global pop sensation played by Naomi Scott (Aladdin, Charlie’s Angels), whose life begins to spiral as she experiences disturbing, inexplicable events just before embarking on a world tour. Fame, fortune, and terror collide as Skye is forced to confront her darkest secrets in a bid to regain control of her life.

Smile 2 (directed by Parker Finn, who helmed the original) continues the twisted and terrifying story of the curse in Smile. With the story now centered on global pop star Skye Riley, the stakes are higher, the stage much bigger, the scale more devastating. And what better way to witness those horrors than on the big screen – with no cuts.

Like all good horror movies, the original Smile ended on a cliffhanger. Smile 2 picks up right where the first movie left off. Fans wondering what happens to Joel now that the curse has been passed on to him will immediately find out – and how.

Sosie Bacon’s charismatic performance as therapist Rose Cotter in the first film helped bring success to Smile and now Smile 2 boasts of even more familiar names in its cast. The mind-bending horrors caused by the Smile Entity might make some viewers want to look away from the screen, but Naomi Scott, Rosemarie DeWitt (La La Land, Rachel Getting Married) and Lukas Gage (You, Euphoria, Fargo) will surely keep everyone’s eyes glued to the big screen. Naomi Scott as Skye Riley the pop star.

Whether she’s on stage performing, at a convention meeting fans, or at home chilling (or trying to), Scott gives a riveting and gripping performance as increasingly troubled global pop sensation Skye Riley. Plus, get ready to sing along to some catchy tunes from Riley’s album “Skye is Limitless.”

Say cheese. We can’t wait to see you smile.

Mark your calendars! Smile 2 will be haunting Philippine cinemas starting October 16, 2024, and it’s not one to miss. Distributed by Paramount Pictures through Columbia Pictures, this uncut horror experience will have you on the edge of your seat.
