TIMOTHY Eulich, the stunt coordinator for Everything Everywhere All at Once, details and praises what it was like working with Michelle Yeoh.
Written and directed by Daniels, the filmmaking duo of Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, the new science fiction movie follows Yeoh’s character, Evelyn Wang, an aging Chinese immigrant who finds herself thrown into an adventure to save the world, exploring different parallel universes and lives she could have led.
Released last March 25, 2022, Everything Everywhere All at Once has received praise for its performances and the complexity of its story, as well as its unique editing and action sequences.
No stranger to the world of film, Eulich has been involved with a number of well-known projects, such as Spider-Man: No Way Home and Jurassic World, and has worked closely with Daniels before, serving as the stunt coordinator on their 2016 theatrical debut, Swiss Army Man.
In speaking with Bleeding Cool recently, Eulich described his experience working with Michelle Yeoh as “amazing,” and stated how her filmography played a role in his decision to pursue a career in stunt coordinating. He also commended her ability to perform and tell stories through movement.
He added that while the script and acting seemed like a lot to him, Yeoh would continue to impress by coming in and executing all of the action involved as well.
According to Timothy, “It was amazing working with Michelle Yeoh. Her previous films were highly influential in my decision to pursue a career as a stunt coordinator. Having an opportunity to work with her was nothing short of awesome. She was just such a lovely person who genuinely and deeply cares about everyone on set.
“That was great just being around her. She has such an amazing command over her physical performance and takes such exquisite care of her physical instrument. It really gives her the ability to tell a story through movement alone.“
Michelle Yeoh has had an impressive career, though fans might be surprised to know that she faced uncertainty following an on-set injury in 1996’s The Stunt Woman. When expressing his admiration for the actor, Eulich stated, “I can’t even imagine the amount of work that she was putting into this movie because she’s in just about every single frame of the film.”
Yeoh’s commitment and ability to persist through trials are just some of the many reasons fans have been thrilled to see her shine in Everything Everywhere All at Once and have supported the film since its premiere. (source: screenrant.com)
