MAINE, ipinagtanggol ni CIARA sa mga bumabatikos pa rin dahil sa ‘old tweets’ kahit nag-apologize na

IPINAGTANGGOL ni Ciara Sotto si Maine Mendoza sa mga bashers nito matapos na mag-public apology last Friday dahil binatikos ang tv host/actress sa muling paglitaw ng luma nitong tweets.

Naakusahan nga si Maine na homophobic, racist at kung anu-ano pang pangungutya dahil sa mga tweets noong bata pa siya, at inamin naman niya na naging “careless” sa pagsusulat ng kanyang mga saloobin. Nai-post nga niya ang mga tweets mula 2011 hanggang 2012.

Tweet ni Maine, “Hi tweeps. I’ve been receiving a lot of messages about my tweets several years ago. Sending my sincerest apologies to those whom I have offended with my tweets way back then.

“It was my careless self talking and I didn’t mean to offend anyone. I am sincerely sorry.” she added.

Sa kanyang follow-up tweet, may pakiusap si Maine, “Through the years, I have learned to be more careful with my thoughts and words – and how it would affect the people around me.”

“Praying for everyone’s safety and sanity in these trying times,” dagdag pa niya.

Nagpakita nga ng pagmamahal at suporta si Ciara kay Maine at nag-tweet siya noong April 17 ng, “You are not defined by your past mistakes. Whatever you’ve been through doesn’t have to be the end of you. You are valuable and irreplaceable. And I love you.”

Dagdag pa ng co-host ng Eat Bulaga:

Nanawagan din si Ciara na maging kind at itigil na ang pagpapakalat ng hate.

Deleted na ang mga tweets ni Maine, pero na-screenshots na ito at patuloy na kumakalat sa Twitter, bukod sa mga bumabatikos, marami din naman ang dumepensa sa kanya, dahil tao lang siya na nagkakamali at hindi perpekto.

Ang mahalaga naman ay inamin na niya ang kanyang pagkakamali, kaya nga siya humihingi ng patawad sa mga nasaktan niya sa kanyang mga tweets.
