PINAG-USAPAN nina Chinese President Xi Jinping at presumptive president Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., “over the phone” ang relasyon ng dalawang bansa at developments at progreso sa rehiyon.
Sa nasabing telephone conversation, sinabi ni Xi na ang dalawang bansa ay dapat na “grasp the general trend, write a grand story on the China-Philippines friendship in the new era and follow through the blueprint for bilateral friendly cooperation.”
“Citing a Philippine saying: ‘If you do not know where you have come from, you cannot go far,’ President Xi urged both countries to carry forward the friendship of the two sides and stay true to their original aspiration,” ayon sa Chinese Embassy sa Maynila.
Samantala, muli namang binati ni Xi si Marcos, tinukoy ng huli ang naging partisipasyon nito sa “the development of China-Philippines relations.”
Tinawag din nito si Marcos bilang “a builder, supporter and promoter of the China-Philippines friendship.”
