Pagkakaisa at sigla pa rin ng sports asam ni Milby

DINADALANGIN ni Philippine Rugby Football Union (PRFU) secretary general at national rugby team member Ada Milby ang pagkakaisa at masiglang PH sports sa kabila na may pandemya pa rin.

Siya ang unang babaeng naging kasalukuyang kasapi ng World Rugby Council WRC) kahit hindi pinalad na manalo bilang second vice president ng Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) sa eleksiyon bago natapos ang 2020

“For me I think which team you’re on or which side you’re on, we’re all here for sports. We’re all here for PH sports,” bulalas ng 37 taong-gulang at staff sergeant sa United States Army.

Nagpahatid din siya nang pagbati sa dumaig sa halalang si Richard Gomez na nagwagi sa nasabing posisyon at nagpaabot rin ng suporta kay reelected president Abraham Tolentino at chairman Stephen Hontiveros sa POC.

Hinirit pa ni Milby na may kapatid ng actor, “It’s not really about the outcome of the elections but what’s really important is that all of us in PH sports unite, get together and we bond together because we’re all in the same side of sports. We might be on different side of different issues or topics but we’re all here to help develop and promote sports and the spirit of Olympism.”

Ibinunyag din niya na malamang na hindi isama ng host Vietnam ang sport niya sa 31st Southeast Asian Games 2021 sa Hanoi sa darating na Nobyembre 21-Disyembre 2.

Pero susubukan pa ng ‘Pinas at ilang kaalyadong bansa na hikayatin ang Vietnamese na maihabol ang rugby sa 11-bansa, tuwing ikalawang taong paligsahan, pero kung sakaling mabigo aniya sila’y susubukang magdaos ng Southeast Asian Rugby Championship sakaling may bakuna na sa COVID-19.
