Blended learning sa maliliit na pribadong paaralan sa NCR, nasa kamay na ng IATF: DepEd exec

Nasa kamay na ng COVID-19 task force ng pamahalaan ang blended learning sa mga pribadong paaralan sa Metro Manila na may maliliit na populasyon ng mga mag-aaral, ayon sa Department of Education nitong Miyerkoles.

Nang tanungin kung bukas ang DepEd sa pagpayag sa blended learning at ilang face-to-face interactions sa mga naturang paaralan, sinabi ni Education Undersecretary Nepomuceno Malaluan na nasa pag-apruba na ito ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

“Right now we’re talking about August 24 anyway and this is still a continuing policy discussion,” aniya sa isang panayam.

“I think when we near that time of August 24, if there will be a change or reconsideration on the part of the President then that will be considered. The secretary, as you might note, is giving the President a constant update on our readiness for August 24,” pahayag nito.

Magsisimula ang school year 2020-2021 sa Agosto 24 at magtatapos sa Abril 30, 2021.

Sinabi ni Malaluan na nasa 11.5 milyong mag-aaral na ang nakapag-enroll mula nang magsimula ang enrollment noong Hunyo 1.

Naghahanda aniya ang ahensya para sa remote learning kung saan kabilang dito ang online platforms, printed modules, “offline digital” platforms, telebisyon, at radyo.

“I think what the President was saying, because the secretary was also saying ‘blended’ learning, which is a combination of those modalities, then if there is no available technology in those areas which is an infrastructure limitation, then at least they will have something other than printed modules,” ani Malaluan.

“But we are preparing for printed modules. In fact even in Metro Manila, there will be printed modules. It will not be completely online or digital,” pahayag pa ni Malaluan.

Binawasan na rin ng DepEd ang K-12 curriculum sa buong year levels at subject areas mula sa higit 15,000 learning competencies sa 5,600 “most essential” learning competencies.
