DOTr: Accomplishment Report sa ilalim ng Duterte Administrasyon

Naglatag ng accomplishment report and Department of Transportation (DOTr) sa ilalim ng Duterte administrasyon kung saan may mga game-changing transport infrastructure projects, programs at initiatives sa apat na sector nito ang natapos at nagawa habang ang iba naman ay nabigyan ng solusyon ang matagal ng problema sa transportasyon.
Sa sector ng aviation at proyekto sa airports, nakumpleto nito ang 250 airport projects kasama ang passenger terminal ng Clark International Airport, Bicol International Airport, Mactan-Cebu International Airport, Bohol-Panglao International Airport at Puerto Princesa International Airport habang may higit pa na 68 ang ginagawa.
Ayon kay DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade natanggal na rin ang “laglag-bala” at “bukas-bagahe” sa mga airports habang ang Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) ay na recognize bilang isa sa 10 most improved airport sa buong mundo noong 2018 dahil sa ginawang mga enhancement at upgrades dito.
“This is what we have done – build the airports, improve it, modernize it make it world-class,” wika ni Tugade.
Habang ang sector ng railway na naglalayon na magkaron ng operational expansion ang railway mula sa dating 77 kilometers upang maging 1,200 kilometers.
Sa ngayon, ay may dalawang (2) proyekto sa railway ang natapos na noong 2021 habang ang anim (6) ay ginagawa pa at may anim (6) pa na magsisimula pa lamang.
Ang mga nasabing proyekto ay ang MRT 3 Rehabilitation Project at LRT-2 East Extension ganon din ang Cavite Extension, MRT 7, Metro Manila Subway, Common Station, PNR Clark Phase 1 (Tutuban-Malolos), PNR Clark Phase 2 (Malolos-Clark) PNR Calamba at PNR Bicol.
Dagdag pa ni Tugade na sa ngayon ang mga pasahero ay nabibigyan ng magandang serbisyo dahil sa magandang train ride sa MRT 3 pagkatapos na ang MRT 3 ay sumailalim sa rehabilitation. “The movement at the MRT 3 now is not only smooth and convenient, fast and reliable, it is also safe” saad ni Tugade.
Mayron naman na 579 ang proyekto sa seaports ang nakumpleto ng Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) simula noong 2016 habang may tinatapos pa na 163 na seaports.
“For road transport, efforts were undertaken to improve commuting experience, particularly through the realization of road-based transport infrastructure and programs, including the PITX, EDSA Busway, PUV Modernization Program, Cebu Rapid Transit at Bike Lanes, as well digitization initiatives which aim to deliver seamless, swift and efficient service,” wika ni Tugade
Naresolba rin ang problema at issues sa vehicle license plates at drivers’ license card.
“We may not have solved all the transport problems in six years, but we have addressed many. Never before in the history of the country has the DOTr done so much in so short time -notwithstanding COVID-19, earthquakes, typhoons,” pagtatapos ni Tugade. LASACMAR
