Ebidensiya, tumataliwas sa pagtanggi nina Bato, Go ukol sa EJK cash reward system

TUMATALIWAS umano ang pagtanggi nina Senador Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa at Bong Go nang partisipasyon ukol sa extrajudicial killings at EJK cash reward system kaugnay sa madugong anti-drug campaign ng dating administrasyon.

Ito ang pananaw nina Reps. Dan Fernandez ng Sta. Rosa City, Robert Ace Barbers ng Surigao del Norte at Bienvenido Abante Jr. ng Manila, mga miyembrong chairmen ng apat na committee panel o Quad Comm.

Nagsasagawa ang komite ng imbestigasyon sa isyu ukol sa EJKs, illegal Philippine offshore and gaming operators (POGOs) at dangerous drugs.

“The evidence so far unearthed in the Quad Comm belies Senators Bato’s and Bong Go’s denials of EJK involvement and existence of the reward system that was public knowledge during the previous administration, particularly in the Philippine National Police (PNP),” ani Fernandez, Chairman ng House Committee on Public Order and Safety.

Ayon kay Fernandez, dalawang saksi na sina retired police colonel at dating Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) general manager Royina Garma at Police Lt. Col. Jovie Espenido, ang tumestigo kaugnay sa pagkakaroon ng payouts sa hitmen para sa pagpatay sa drug suspects.

“Not only did it exist; it was managed by higher-ups, meaning by Malacañang (Duterte administration),” dagdag ni Fernandez.

Tinukoy naman Barbers, chair ng House Committee on Dangerous Drugs, ang naging testimonya ni Espenido na milyon o bilyong piso ang naging pabuya para sa kampanya.

Ang pondo, batay sa pahayag ni Espenido, ayon kay Barbers ay nagmula sa jueteng at iba pang illegal gambling activities, intelligence funds, small-town lottery (STL) operations at POGOs.

“Our impression is that the intelligence funds came from the Office of the President and the PNP. When these funds are audited, we will find out who is telling the truth or lying: Sen. Bato and Sen. Bong Go, or Garma and Espenido,” ani Barbers.

Sinabi naman ni Abante na batay sa testimonya ng mga saksi na noong 2016, ay nakitang nakipagpulong sina Dela Rosa at Go sa mga pagpupulong ni Duterte sa ilang mga police officers, kabilang na sina Garma at retired police colonel at ngayon ay National Police Commission Commissioner Edilberto Leonardo. Ang meeting ay ginanap sa Department of Public Works and Highways’ (DPWH) regional office sa Davao City.

Ayon pa kay Abante, inihayag ng saksi na tinalakay umano ang Davao City EJK template at reward system sa naturang pagpupulong. Ilang linggo matapos nito, nagsimula ang pagpatay sa mga drug suspects sa police operations at riding-in-tandem hired guns.
