NAVOTAS LUMAGDA SA MOA UPANG MAGTATAG NG SCHOOL PESO DESK

PUMASOK ang Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Navotas sa isang Memorandum of Agreement para sa pagtatag ng isang Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Help Desk sa Navotas Polytechnic College (NPC) at lahat ng senior high school sa Navotas.

Pinirmahan ni Mayor John Rey Tiangco ang MOA kasama si Dr. Meliton Zurbano, Schools Division Superintendent; Dr. Joel M. Chavez, Pangulo ng NPC; at Rey Sanglay, Supervising Labor and Employment Officer ng Department of Labor and Employment-CAMANAVA.

Layunin ng programa na palakasin ang paghahatid ng mga employment services sa mga estudyanteng Navoteño at mga bagong graduate.

Kasama sa mga serbisyo ang Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES), impormasyon sa job market, referral at placement, career guidance at employment coaching, at Labor Education for Graduating Students (LEGS), bukod sa iba pa.

“Through the PESO Desks, Navoteño youth will be more guided, prepared, and equipped for the career they wish to pursue,” ani Tiangco.

“But more than being career-ready, we hope young Navoteños will develop discipline, critical and creative thinking, emotional stability, adaptability, and other skills and values that will help become successful in life,” dagdag niya.

Dumalo rin sa seremonya sina Estelita Aguilar, PESO Navotas Action Officer; Dr. Marco Meduranda, SDO Navotas Curriculum Implementation Division Chief; at Editha Peregrino, Public School District Supervisor.

Sinusuportahan ng pamahalaang lungsod ang mga naghahanap ng trabaho sa pamamagitan ng lingguhang mga in-house job interview at mega job fair. Nagbibigay din ito ng tulong at kinikilala ang mga posibleng kasosyo para sa student work immersion. (Richard Mesa)
