Pingris binigyang pugay!

Kaliwa’t kanan ang papuring tinanggap ni Marc Pingris ng Magnolia Hotshots nang magdesisyon itong tuluyan nang magretiro matapos ang 16 taong paglalaro sa PBA.
Kabilang na sa mga nagbigay-pugay si Barangay Ginebra head coach Tim Cone na minsan nang nahawakan si Pingris sa kampo ng Hotshots.
Isa si Pingris sa itinuturing ni Cone na paborito nitong player dahil sa magandang pag-uugali nito sa loob at labas ng court.
“End of an era. Certainly one of a kind. I loved, in every way, coaching Ping. Tough as nails on the court, gentle in spirit off it,” ani Cone.
Dahil dito, isa si Pingris sa nagsisilbing magandang halimbawa ni Cone sa mga baguhang players na tinuturuan nito.
“Marc Pingris will be the standard from which I coach future players. My fave,” ani Cone.
Nagpasalamat naman si Pingris sa magandang mensahe ni Cone.
Aminado si Pingris na malaki ang papel ni Cone sa mga tagumpay na natamo nito sa kanyang professional basketball career.
Kaya naman hindi nito makakalimutan ang lahat ng itinuro nito sa kanya lalo pa’t noong mga panahong nagsisimula pa lamang ito sa PBA.
“Coach Tim, it’s because of you that I grew to understand the sport as more than a game. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to become part of history with our 2014 grand slam. I am proud to have played the game we both love with you,” ani Pingris.
