ISA sa mga dapat abangan sa most epic primetime series ngayong taon ang pagkanta ni Asia’s Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose sa theme song ng “Voltes V: Legacy.”

Para sa mga nakapanood na ng special edit ng serye via “Voltes V Legacy: The Cinematic Experience,” talaga namang amazing ang ipinakitang husay ni Julie Anne na kumanta in Japanese! Major anime vibes ba kamo?!

Komento pa ng ilang netizens sa GMA Network YouTube account, “Sobrang bagay sa boses ni Julie Anne! Multi-instrumentalist, singing multilingual songs! Limitless talaga, wala kong masabi! Congrats, Julie Anne! Versatile at napaka-talented mo!”

Very grateful naman si Julie Anne sa natatanggap na positive comments. Ayon sa kanya, “This is definitely a great opportunity that can’t be missed. And the fact that I have been receiving positive feedback from the OG fans about my rendition is such a relief and a proud moment for me.”

Aminado rin si Julie Anne na fan siya ng Voltes V kaya isa raw karangalan na maging parte ng groundbreaking project na ito ng GMA Network.

“I myself am a fan of Voltes V, especially when I was a kid. Voltes V: Legacy is one of the most anticipated GMA shows this year and I still can’t believe that they have entrusted me to sing its very nostalgic and iconic theme song. PUMANAW na sa edad na 96 ang tinaguriang King of Calypso at nagpasikat ng awiting ‘Day-O (The Banana Boat Song)’ na si Harry Belfonte.

Ayon sa kanyang pamilya, congestive heart failure ang dahilan ng pagpanaw nito sa kanyang tahanan sa New York.

Nakilala si Belafonte bilang isa sa “most popular entertainers of the 20th century, as a singer, musician and actor”. Pero mas hinangaan siya ng marami dahil sa kanyang civil rights work noong 1960s at ang kanyang anti-apartheid work noong 1980s.

Belafonte was born Harold George Bellanfanti Jr. in Harlem, New York in 1927. Ang kanyang biracial parents ay taga-Jamaica. Noong 1950s ay sumikat ang single niyang “Day-O  (The Banana Boat Song)” na mula sa third album niya na Calypso na sinulat ni Irving Burgie. Naging popular ang song sa Caribbean islands at inaawit ito ng mga Jamaican banana workers.

Bukod sa pagiging singer, pinasok din ni Belafonte ang pag-arte sa TV, pelikula at entablo. In 1954, he was the first Black actor to win a Tony Award for “John Murray Anderson’s Almanac”. Siya rin ang unang Black actor na manalo ng Emmy Award para sa TV special niya “Tonight with Belafonte” in 1960. Tinambal siya sa sikat na singer na si Dorothy Dandridge sa musical film na Carmen Jones in 1954.

Nagwagi ng tatlong Grammy Awards si Belafonte at ginawaran siya Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award noong 2000. He was awarded the National Medal of Arts in 1994 at binigyan siya ng Humanitarian Oscar in 2015.
