PINURI ni House Committee on Information Communications and Technology Chair at Navotas Representative Toby Tiangco si President Bongbong Marcos sa kanyang pangako sa ICT-driven development at program-delivery initiatives.
“I’m very happy that our President has included improved connectivity, expanded access to internet, cybersecurity, and streamlining digital technology in his SONA yesterday. This clearly underscores the value of technology in our country’s development goals,” saad ni Tiangco.
“We heard throughout the President’s SONA how invaluable ICT is in crucial initiatives such as education, job generation, connectivity, disaster response, crime prevention, information management, and even delivery of services to Filipinos,” ani Tiangco.
“I welcome President Bongbong’s statement on digitalization and solar-powered technology becoming standard features in schools and classrooms as this will ensure our children will be properly prepared for jobs of the future. The government’s Free Public Wi-Fi program, along with the commitment to allocate resources for more digital tools such as computers, Smart TVs and digital notebooks, will ensure digitally-enabled learning environments that can develop highly-skilled and competitive Filipino graduates,” dagdag niya.
