MAKIKIISA sina world 9-ball at four-time 8-ball billiard champion Efren Reyes at Chess Olympiad silver at four-time bronze winner Grandmaster Eugenio Torre sa Games and Amusement Board (GAB) 2nd Professional Sports Summit Zoom Teleconferencing & Facebook live 2020 sa Sabado, Disyembre 5.
“Hindi naman kasi porke pandemic ay hihinto na ang GAB so we thought of coming up with a virtual Sports Summit,” pagsisiwalat ni GAB chairman Abraham Kahlil Mitra sa Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) webcast Forum nitong Martes.
Paksa sa maghapong okasyon ang boxing rules, mental health at batas sa pro sports. Gayundin ang pagkilala sa mga pambihirang talento ng mga atletang tulad nina Reyes, Torre, 2010 world 10-ball king Francisco Bustamante, dating world boxing champ Geronimo Penalosa at former Philippine Basketball Associatiopn (PBA) Best Import Sean Chambers.
Imbitado rin ang ilang opisyal gayani Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas Inc. (SBPI) chairman Sen. Juan Edgardo, kapwa mambabatas na sina Lawrence Christopher Go, Joel Villanueva at eight-division world boxing champion Emmanuel Pacquiao.
Sasamahan si Mitra sa isang araw na pagtitipon na sisimulan sa alas-9:00 nang umaga nina GAB Commissioners Mario Masanguid at Eduard Trinidad.
