Sinabihan ni Sheryl Underwood si Osbourne ng: “While you are standing by your friend, it appears that you are giving validation or safe haven to something that he has uttered that is racist.”

Nagsunud-sunod na ang mga naging reklamo kay Osbourne, “for the used of offensive language, including racial epithets towards former co-host/exec producer Julie Chen as well as lesbian slurs when referring to former co-host/exec producer Sara Gilbert.”

Tinawag daw ni Osbourne ang former host na si Julie Chen, who is Chinese/American, as “wonton” and “slanty eyes.”

Ang former co-host and executive producer na si Sara Gilbert, who is a lesbian, ay tinawag ni Osbourne na “pussy licker” and “fish eater”.

Ang isa pang co-host na si Holly Robinson Peete ay tinawag daw ni Osbourne na “too ghetto” at pinatanggal niya ito sa show.

Naglabas ang CBS network ng official statement regarding the issue:

“CBS is committed to a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace across all of our productions. We’re also very mindful of the important concerns expressed and discussions taking place regarding events on The Talk.

This includes a process where all voices are heard, claims are investigated and appropriate action is taken where necessary. The show will extend its production hiatus until next Tuesday as we continue to review these issues.”

“To anyone of colour that I offended and/or to anyone that feels confused, or let down by what I said. I was panicked, felt blindsided and got defensive.”
