‘Sine Sandaan’, magtatapos sa bonggang closing ceremony at virtual concert

SINA Lani Misalucha, Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera, Isay Alvarez, Robert Seña, The Company, at Lea Salonga kasama ang Acapellago ang mga headliners sa “Sine Sandaan: The Next 100 Closing Ceremony.”
Ang two-hour virtual event na ito ay iho-host at i-stream online ng Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) ngayong 8 p.m. (September 30) sa kanilang social media accounts: YouTube (youtube.com/ FilmDevelopmentCouncilPH) at Facebook (facebook.com/ FDCP.ph)
After 12 months of marking milestones, recognizing achievements, and honoring the heritage of the Filipino film industry, ang year-long commemoration ng One Hundred Years of Philippine Cinema ay magsasara na isang bonggang selebrasyon.
Ayon kay FDCP Chairperson and CEO Liza Diño, “Sine Sandaan: The Next 100 encapsulates our aspirations for the future of Philippine Cinema. It is both in the spirit of empowering our local industry and taking those significant steps towards that future that we hope for — a future of elevation, inspiration, and collaboration.”
Sa pagpapatuloy pa ni Chair Liza, “This celebratory event also serves as a venue for cooperation in the film industry. Just as we officially close the Philippine Cinema Centennial Celebration, we look forward to the next hundred years wherein the industry will aim to reach greater heights, cross borders, and explore uncharted territories.”
Ang Sine Sandaan o Presidential Proclamation No. 622, series of 2018 ay opisyal na dineklara noong September 12, 2019 hanggang September 11, 2020, na year-long celebration sa Philippine Cinema Centennial, spearheaded by the FDCP.
The beginning of this milestone commemorates the September 12, 1919 release date of the first film directed and produced by a Filipino, “Dalagang Bukid” by Jose Nepomuceno. Pinirmahan ni President Rodrigo Duterte ang Sine Sandaan Proclamation noong November 8, 2018.
Simula noong September 12, 2019, nagdaos ng events ang FDCP tulad ng: “Sine Sandaan: Celebrating the Luminaries of Philippine Cinema,” 3rd Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino, Philippine Film Festival in Italy and Portugal, Luna Awards, and Film Ambassadors’ Night. It also took part in the Busan International Film Festival, QCinema International Film Festival, Tokyo International Film Festival, Southeast Asia Fiction Film Lab (SEAFIC), Berlin International Film Festival, Cannes Docs Online, Locarno Open Doors, at Hong Kong FILMART Online.
Ang iba pang initiatives ng Sine Sandaan initiatives ang paglulunsad ng mga sumusunod: FilmPhilippines incentive program, participation in House Committee Hearings on the Eddie Garcia Bill, issuance of Joint Memorandum Circular No. 1 on Guidelines for Working Conditions of Film Workers with the Department of Labor and Employment, Disaster/ Emergency Assistance and Relief (DEAR) Program, at ang patuloy na restoration of films by the Philippine Film Archive.
Noong September 11, 2020, ang huling araw ng year-long commemoration of One Hundred Years of Philippine Cinema, nagdaos ang FDCP ng Opening Ceremony ng “Sine Sandaan: The Next 100 – Celebration of the Closing of the Philippine Cinema Centennial.”
Sa pagtatapos ng milestone celebration, kasama rin ang Cycle 3 ng FilmPhilippines incentives program, Philippine International Comics Festival, China International Fair for Trade in Services, Kre8tif! Virtual Conference in Malaysia, Film Industry Conference, First Cut Lab Philippines, Documentary Film Production Workshop with Region XI, Lutas Film Festival Dumaguete, Sine Sandaan on The Manila Times TV, WIFI: Workshops in Film Incentives, at ang Mowelfund Special Masterclass Series featuring Raymond Red.
Inilunsad din ng FDCP ang “Kwentong Sandaan,” na magso-showcase sa mga videos on the journey of actors, filmmakers, icons, and unsung heroes of Philippine Cinema.
Other launches this month are for the Philippine Film Archive website, National Registry website and mobile app, and the CreatePHFilms funding program for development, produc- tion, and distribution.
Magkakakaroon din #SineWikainChallenge Awarding at panghuli itong “Closing of Sine Sandaan: The Next 100 – Celebration of the Closing of the Philippine Cinema Centennial” na magaganap na ngayong gabi, kaya tumutok lang sa Facebook at Youtube ng FDCP. (ROHN ROMULO)
