‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Cracks Open The Multiverse In New International Poster

A new international poster showcasing the shattering of the multiverse in Spider-Man: No Way Home and once again stars Tom Holland as the titular hero in his third solo MCU outing.

The film debuted last month and has unsurprisingly become a box office sensation.

Spider-Man: No Way Home picks up after the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home, which ended with Spider-Man’s identity as Peter Parker being unveiled to the world.

In an attempt to bring things back to normal, he partners with Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to cast a spell to make everyone forget that he is Spider-Man.

However, this unintentionally results in the multiverse opening up – allowing villains such as Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Doc Ock (Alfred Molina), and Electro (Jamie Foxx) to come through, as well as previous Spider-Men, (Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire).

Now, over a month since Spider-Man: No Way Home was released and currently in theaters, a new Japanese poster for the film has been revealed via Sony Japan on Twitter. Much of the film’s success lies in its utilization of the multiverse to bring in heroes from other Spider-Man franchises to fill out its ranks, and this new poster’s imagery plays on how the multiverse is essentially shattered open in No Way Home.

That poster captures many of the elements of what makes Spider-Man: No Way Home such an effective Marvel movie. From the shift in tone to something darker and more brooding to the presence of villains such as Electro and Green Goblin, this poster highlights many of the elements that audiences have praised about the film. Though the latest installment in the Scream franchise has finally defeated the as the reigning box office champion, it’s clear that there’s still plenty of enthusiasm among fans for the kind of story that No Way Home brought to the table.

Of course, the fanfare surrounding Spider-Man: No Way Home leads fans to wonder what the future may hold for Holland’s Peter Parker. This film introduced him to Peters from other dimensions, but it also took away Aunt May (Marisa Tomei) and much of his support system, not to mention an easy path to college.

With so much tragedy taking place over the course of No Way Home’s runtime, and the completion of Peter’s full Spider-Man origin story, it seems likely that his next big screen outing may introduce viewers into the most fully-realized version of this iteration of Spider-Man.
