Paxton (Jacob Batalon) is everyone’s best friend, and the strongest link that keeps the group together. He can always bring laughter to the party, and calls things as he sees them. Paxton doesn’t believe that destiny can be dealt in cards and horoscopes, but that all starts to change as he gets plunged into a sinister world after his tarot reading.
Lucas (Wolfgang Novogratz) is an adrenaline-chasing risk-taker. Although he likes to live life on the edge, the recklessness he has for his own life does not translate into how he cares for his friends. A sensitive type, he’s willing to go out of his way for the people he loves.
Though Paige (Avantika) grew up among the wealthiest of the wealthy, she never let it go to her head. She’s the mother hen of their friend group, and a constant, reliable presence in times of need. Paige’s friends always know that she’s the first person to call at the first sign of trouble.
Madeline (Humberly González) is the social media butterfly who always has her phone camera on to catch something for content. Being terminally online detracts from her having to face her problems head-on, which is a win-win in her mind. In her defense, she just wants to capture every moment with her friends, and with evil lurking in the corner, documenting everything might just become a life-saving advantage.
Elise (Larsen Thompson) is a positive thinker and dreams of her adult life after graduating. Her birthday brings everyone together for a celebration, and curious about tarot, she brings a deck to make her party interesting. Unaware of the rules, she unfortunately made the mistake of using someone else’s deck, plunging her and her friends into a deadly situation.
Lastly, Grant (Adrian Bradley) is Haley’s recent ex-boyfriend. Although the separation was amicable, he’s devastated and left wondering what happened to the relationship. Like Paxton, he doesn’t believe in superstition and prediction through cards and stars. He’s determined to use logic to help escape their fate and figure out what went wrong between him and Haley along the way.
Watch them try to survive the horrors that fate has in store for them as Tarot opens in Philippine cinemas on May 1.
