2 beses ang swab test pero hindi na 14-day absolute quarantine – IATF

Inamyendahan na ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of the Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) ang Resolution No. 92 kaugnay sa travel restrictions sa mga manggagaling sa mga bansang may bagong COVID-19 variant.
Sa nasabing bagong resolusyon, ispesipikong tinukoy na ng IATF ang mga exempted gaya ng mga foreign nationals na may valid visas na kinabibilangan ng mga personnel ng accredited international organizations at mga asawa o menor de edad na anak ng Filipino citizens na kasama nilang bumiyahe.
Ang mga darating sa bansa para sa medical at emergency cases, kasama ang kanilang medical escorts ay subject sa applicable testing and quarantine protocols ng Department of Health (DOH).
Mula naman sa dating mandatory 14-day quarantine sa mga pasilidad na tinukoy ng gobyerno, ang mga Pilipinong manggagaling sa mga bansang sakop ng travel restrictions ay sasailalim na sa prescribed testing and quarantine protocols.
Nakapaloob sa testing and quarantine protocols na ang mga pasaherong manggagaling sa mga nabanggit na bansa ay agad sasailalim sa RT-PCR test pagdating sa bansa at sasailalim sa quarantine hanggang lumabas ang resulta ng ikalawang test sa ikalimang araw mula ng pagdating.
“From the strict observation of an absolute fourteen (14) day facility-based quarantine period for Filipino citizens coming from areas where travel restrictions are in place, the IATF amended this to prescribed testing and quarantine protocols,” ani Sec. Roque.
“Further, Filipino citizens arriving for highly exceptional and/or medical reasons and local diplomats are now subject to applicable quarantine protocols as prescribed by the DOH. On testing and quarantine protocols for passengers coming from, or transiting through, countries where travel restrictions are in place due to new COVID-19 variants, these incoming passengers shall be tested upon arrival and shall be quarantined until the result of the subsequent test administered on the fifth day is released.” (DARIS JOSE)
