ITINALAGA ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte si dating Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Executive Director Jennifer Joy Chua Ong bilang associate justice ng Court of Appeals (CA).
Sa panahon na itinalaga si Justice Ong, siya ay undersecretary ng Office of the Appointments Secretary ng Office of the President.
Si Justice Ong, nanumpa sa kanyang tungkulin, araw ng Biyernes, Enero 21, kay Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo sa session hall ng Korte Suprema, pinalitan nito si retired Associate Justice Ma. Luisa Q. Padilla.
Si Ong, mula sa Davao City, ay nagkaroon ng law degree mula sa Ateneo de Manila University.
Ang appointment papers ni Ong ay ipinadala ni Executive Secretary Salvador C. Medialdea kay Chief Justice Gesmudo. (Daris Jose)
