Pagpapatuloy ng face-to-face classes sa 39 Metro Manila schools ‘generally smooth’- DepEd

SINABI ng Department of Education (DepEd) na “generally smooth” ang pagpapatuloy ng limited face-to-face classes sa ilang piling public at private schools sa National Capital Region (NCR).

“Overall assessment was smooth and learners are excited to go back to schools,” ayon kay DepEd Human Resource and Organizational Development Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Wilfredo Cabral.

Si Cabral, nagsisilbi bilang Regional Director of DepEd-NCR, ay nagpahayag na 39 na eskuwelahan ang nagpatuloy ng face-to-face classes, araw ng Miyerkules kung saan “the 28 are the original pilot schools.”

Tinukoy ang updates mula Navotas, sinabi ni Cabral na ang pagpapatuloy ng face-to-face classes ay “generally smooth” dahil ang lahat ng nagpartisipang eskuwelahan ay binigyan ng Safety Seals ng Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Aniya pa, ang “perfect attendance was noted” sa mga paaralan na nagpatuloy ng limited face-to-face classes.

Sinabi pa rin ni Cabral na ang “overwhelming support from stakeholders” ay kinabibilagan ng mga guro at personnel ng nagpapartisipang eskuwelahan, magulang, mag-aaral, LGUs at iba pa.

Aniya pa, ang DepEd ay magpo-provide ng updates “from the rest …of the NCR schools once available.”

Sa kabilang dako, agbigay din ang DepEd ng updates ukol sa unang araw ng expanded face-to-face classes sa ilang Metro Manila schools gaya ng naka-post sa kanilang Facebook page.

Kabilang sa mga eskuwelahan na nagpatupad ng expansion phase ng limited face-to-face classes ay ang Ignacio B. Villamor Senior High School (IBVSHS) sa Sta. Ana, Manila kung saan ang nagpartisipa ay ang Grade 12 Technical-Vocational Livelihood (TVL) – Information Communication and Technology students.

Ang lahat ng mga estudyante at guro na nakiisa sa limited face-to-face classes ay pawang fully vaccinated laban sa coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Ang mga mag-aaral ay binigyan ng consent o pinahintulutan ng kanilang mga magulang na magpartisipa sa in-person classes.

Samantala, tiniyak naman ng IBVSHS ang mahigpit na implementasyon ng safety protocols para sa proteksyon ng mga sasali sa face-to-face classes.

“Overall, the expanded face-to-face class (hybrid set-up) at our school was smooth and successful,” ayon kay IBVSHS teacher Aljohn Cueva.

“Innovation in the education system like the hybrid setup will also help address some of the problems in other types of learning modalities like online and modular,” aniya pa rin.
